14.3 Snapshots, Rebuilds and Resizes
- Snapshots: Linode stores exactly one manual snapshot per instance. Taking a new one replaces the previous snapshot.
- Rebuild: deletes all disks and configuration profiles and deploys a fresh image. It cannot be undone.
- Resize: performed as a cold migration with automatic disk resizing when a service is upgraded or downgraded. If the service is already on the target plan the module reports success without calling Linode, so a paid upgrade never fails on a no-op.
