14.2 Costs Incurred at Linode
- Instances are billed by Linode from the moment they are created, including while shut down (that is, while a WHMCS service is suspended).
- The Backup Service adds a recurring charge per instance when enabled, either at provisioning or from the Client Area.
- Volumes and NodeBalancers are billed separately by Linode. Use the resource limits in Section 6.6 to cap what customers can create.
