11.3 Reset Root Password

Opens a dialog where the customer can enter a new root password or generate a strong one. Because Linode requires the instance to be powered off, the module shuts it down, applies the password and boots it again automatically. The new password replaces the stored one and is reflected on the Overview page immediately.

Note: This action is available only when Allow Root Password Reset is enabled for the product.
